First 3D model!

pinocc1Finally, after many months, we’re modeling the firsts objects! This is the first finished model, made by Cristian, obviously in Blender 2.5! As you can see, is a little wooden toy, a pinocchio, one of the playthings that fills the shells of the Pietro’s room, our main character. That’s the very first object finished and we want to share it straightaway! Nothing fancy; done in 15 mins, very simply materials and very few details (it’s not a main character), but it’s our first “3D brick” in this long journey and we want to share it!
Here below there’s the link to the file that has been done with a recent build of Blender 2.5

Here’s the Pinocchio: pinocchio.blend

Meanwhile we’re working on the plan of the Pietro’s room, for reasons that goes beyond the 3D! More details to come…

See you soon!

Something… something…

Here two new artwork by Carmen, first in watercolor, the second in digital!
It start to reveal something…

See you soon with other updates!

First 3D test!

Here we go again! Here’s a little test we done with very poor decoration. Very quick render only with few primitivs and a couple of lights, very easy setup just to have a look of the Pietro’s room in 3D! Here it is!

Now we’re going through the third scene right in the middle of our script! Can’t wait to write down the first storyboard! The journey is still looong! And the way is loaded of danger! Ahah! See you soon!

New Artwork!

Here’s an artwork by Carmen about a location, rather mysterious! Here it is!

Pencils!

Here we go again! Today we want to share some drawings made by Daniele working on the characters, they’re awesome!
Meanwhile we’re working on the screenplay, in my opinion we’re doing great: second scene almost complete! Now it’s time to fit music and script! And we’re tryin’ to work on some new ideas we got, if them can be helpful to tell the story better than the old idea.
But now the Daniele’s drawings!

Hope to post more information very soon, not only drawing, but some 3d’s and more info on the program we’ll use, Blender!

See you soon! Stay tuned

First month gone… first minute is gone as well!

OK! One month is gone, it’s time to update! We’re starting to write down the second scene, this means that the first minute is closed! We’re really busy and we can’t work on the short on daily basis; in this section of the production we got to decide things together, then once all is decided, structured and planned we will work on our own and work much faster! Meanwhile we put our hands on Blender: just finished to model a mesh, you’ll see (and download) the results very soon! Marco, our rigger, is taking care of “him”…
Beside of this, we’re working on the concepts of some machines, but I don’t want to spoil about this!
For the second scene, thanks to Sharon and Carmen we already got a strong screenplay line. In this scene we got dialogue and much more, that will be not so easy! And there it is a little taste of the location of the third scene! Like the other artwork, this also is by Carmen.

Timeless!

Hi there! We’re a little crew with love for movies, animation, photografy and arts and we are working on a shortfilm, “Timeless”. By this blog and Twitter we’ll try to keep you updated about the journey we are making to get to the end of this little adventure. We’re working for few months for the planning stage  of a scritp made 4 years ago just for fun, but now to see it getting shape it’s great! We’ll use for this only opensource software like Blender, Gimp, and Inkscape. Once will finished, will be avaiable a DVD or an ISO (for those who wants to download it for free) with all the file of the production of this project, to keep the opensource filosophy. In the DVD will be also some tutorials how ” Timeless” will be made. And here’s a little taste of what we are working on,  2 artworks made by Carmen.
